Fallon/Macmillan - A Family Affair Exhibition

by jimmy turrell on Wednesday 23 May 2012

Another exhibition I've been asked to contribute to is A Family Affair - a show organised by Fallon and Macmillan Cancer Support. Other artists include Brett Ryder, Paul Willoughby, Eduardo Recife, I Love Dust, James Dawe, Jody Barton and Stevie Gee.
The idea is to raise awareness for afamilyaffair.com and more importantly money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Each piece which has been donated has been reproduced as a limited edition A2 print. There on sale for £75 each.

Basically the brief was to create imagery concerning bicycles or family. I've chosen to use an image of a friends mother and her sister when they were kids. I was chatting to her recently and she said how much their love of cycling really bonded them as sisters.
I thought this story fitted the brief perfectly so got this photo from her.

If you can't make the exhibition the prints will also be available for a limited period through:

afamilyaffair.myshopify.com

Anybody who fancies the private view pop down to Fallon tomorrow night from 6.30 - 9.00. It should should be a laugh.
